It is important to choose emergency contacts that are close to your home and notify them that they may be called to pick up your child.

Medications must be in original packaging with instructions and must have instructions that meet the child’s age. Prescription medications must have child’s name on the label. Covid, Flu and RSV
Due to the Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic we will be following stricter guidelines to keep our families and the community safe. Whenever there is a community outbreak of any contagious and dangerous illness such as covid-19, influenza, RSV the following procedures will be enforced.
- Children with new illness symptoms will not be allowed in care until fever free for 48 hours and other symptoms are improving.
- Provider reserves the right to require a doctor’s note or test.
- No new coughs, runny noses, low grade temps or other cold symptoms will be allowed.
- Parents who are home sick or home with other sick children will have to keep the enrolled child home until the family has been tested and cleared or no longer has symptoms.
- If a child has been exposed to Covid-19 by a family member then current recommended quarantine guidelines will be followed.
- You must bring a water bottle with lid for your child daily.
- You must bring your child’s belongings in a backpack each day.
- Provider reserves the right to close without notice due to covid exposure or other communicable illness to quarantine or thoroughly disinfect. Fees will still be paid in full.
We are all in this together and it is our responsibility to keep each other safe and healthy. In order for our facility to stay open everyone needs to follow state and community guidelines and those guidelines outlined in this document.
Immunizations
California requires all children to be vaccinated to enroll in school unless they have a valid medical exemption. All children who receive immunizations must have immunizations up to date at all times. Parents must bring a copy of child’s immunization records to the childcare provider so the provider can fill out the states blue immunization card. Each time a child receives a new immunization parents must give an updated copy to the provider.
Food
Country Acres Preschool provides a healthy snack for all preschool classes and lunch for morning classes. We are enrolled in the beanstalk food program and serve healthy meals consisting of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, a meat and milk.
If you choose to bring your child meals we ask that they be healthy. Please no sweets, soda, gum, ect.
If you want to bring a special treat for your child we ask that you bring enough for everyone and communicate with the director about any allergies.
Miscellaneous Policies
All forms must be completed before a child enters the program. You must inform us of any important changes, such as a new phone number or address or a change in employment, ect. You will need to fill out new paperwork so we can keep records up to date.
You must have a list of responsible adults that are able to pick up your child in an emergency if you are not able. You must list these adults on your emergency form. If someone other than yourself is picking up your child you must notify the director in advance. If I have not met the individual before I will check identification. Individuals will also be called to pick up your child if you are more than 30 minutes late picking your child up from care.
Upon arrival please have your child dressed and ready for the day. Please have them in a clean diaper or pull up. Make sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather for we will spend a lot of time outside.
Please bring a change of clothing and diapers/wipes each day in a backpack.
In spring and summer make sure to sunscreen your child before arrival.
Country Acres Preschool is more than happy to assist you in potty training your child when your child exhibits the signs they are ready. We also require that parents are fully committed and working hard to potty train at home first. We recommend starting during a longer break from school to have time to focus on it at home without all the excitement and distractions at school. Children are required to wear pull ups while at school, not cloth underwear. When children are going a few days without accidents at school they may switch to wearing cloth underwear.
We ask that children do not bring personal items from home unless instructed to do so
Please try to drop off your child on time. We do not want children to miss out on preschool activities in the morning. If you are going to be late or picking up early please call me and let me know. When you drop off in the morning please make it as quick as possible to help relieve stress on your child. You are more than welcome to call to check on your child at any time.
I am a mandated reporter and by law have to report any suspected abuse or neglect. I will notify the police department as well as Child Protective Services if I see signs of physical, sexual or emotional abuse and neglect.
Parents are not required to supply any preschool materials, but we will gladly accept any donations of toys or supplies. We would even love some of your trash, milk cartons, paper bags, popsicle sticks, ect,
We believe positive reinforcement and natural consequences to be a very effective way to address behavioral problems. We are here to validate your child’s feelings and teach them how to deal with and express their emotions in a proper and positive way. If a child has extreme behavioral issues I will sit down with parents and come up with a plan that will be implemented here as well as at home. Consistency is so important and I believe parents and teachers should work closely as a team. Please don’t hesitate to come to me with any questions or concerns.
Country Acres Preschool celebrates holidays and children’s birthdays. Feel free to bring treats to share
